K is for Kaiser!

Sweater season (Winter) is almost over and I finally finished the sweater for Kaiser (my sister's active Jack Russell Terrier). The pattern is from Dogs in Knits: 17 Projects for Our Best Friends, which Jenna lent me. She made a beautiful white Aran sweater for her dog, Dashi from this book. I wish she had a knitting blog, she'd put my projects to shame. For this sweater, I used Sirdar's Snuggly in Lemon, double knitting weight. I love Snuggly because it's soft and machine washable. This project and the Marianne Cardigan have really made me a pro at picking up stitches. This sweater was started in January, but I got halfway through and needed to order more yarn, then got sick, then decided that I wanted to watch more tv. And when a project is 90% done I get knitter's block (for weeks). Probably because I really, really hate making up (blocking, sewing in ends, sewing...). That should explain why the Charley Sweater is still not finished, yeah...

I snuck out to Purl SoHo during all the Chinese New Year festivities and bought a whole bunch of stuff. Very importantly I replaced my size 1 bamboo needles that I broke, so now I can continue my Print O' the Wave Stole. I also couldn't resist the Rowan magazine. I love their patterns, and I love knitting with their Kidsilk Haze yarn. The yarn pictured here is for super secret projects.
