Big Move

View from AptWe have been in our new apt for 1 month now, the views are still mesmerizing. I have only managed to unpack my clothes and all the kitchen items, life's essentials = food + clothes. The second room is still filled wall to wall with boxes. It's funny, I didn't think I had a lot of stuff until it got all packed up and then unpacked. After seeing rows of sweaters, I realized I did not need to buy more winter clothes. Hubby happily agreed.

A lot has happened since October, my division at Hello Bank was sold, so I may or may not have a job in the new year, we moved and hubby passed his series 7 examination. We went to Maremma to celebrate his test results, the Italian dishes were very authentic and so delicious. Their moonshine and pork spaghetti (on tasting menu) was plate licking good.

prosciutto with grilled figsOne of hubby's (and his family's) favorite fruit are figs. So, when he bought figs and prosciutto from Chelsea market, I had to find a "prosciutto with grilled figs" recipe. The recipe is from Molto Italiano, and I used the George Foreman grill to grill the figs. Hubby thought it tasted great, he ate most of my figs too, I'm not a big fan.

Print O the Wave StoleUpdate on my Print O' the Wave Stole, I have finished the body, it's all connected to make a mirror image. I'm slowly knitting the border, it's 60% done. Oh, and I discovered that I lost the last ball of yarn needed for hubby's Charley sweater, so I see a trip to the yarn store for me after Thanksgiving. (If I survive Thanksgiving, I'm making the turkey this year.)
